Oshun Dress in Cream from Nia Thomas. Fully hand knitted tank dress with a rib jersey stitch to cover the breasts and a diamond stitch right above the ankle. This handmade dress takes 3 days for artisans to weave and crochet. The Oshun Dress is named after an important river deity among the Yorùbá people.

Sustainability note: This top was proudly handmade in Mexico by female artisans. Nia Thomas only produces the orders they receive to ensure no overproduction. The cotton yarn will biodegrade in much less time than synthetic fibers (about 5-10 months).

Garment Care: To best care for this garment, it is recommended to hand wash with cold water and mild soap, or "green" dry clean. Lay flat to air dry. Do not bleach. To preserve the shape and elasticity, store folded, rather than hanging on a hanger.

Nia Thomas is an ethically made, Black woman-owned independent fashion label that celebrates the female form. Founded in 2018 as a love letter to Earth, the eponymous brand calls on women to own their sensuality, power, and capacity for love. With a mission to pay homage to our roots through the ritual of getting dressed, Nia Thomas's luxe knitwear is sustainably produced in NYC, Mexico, and Peru from cellulose-based fibers and plant-based dyes as a zero-waste alternative to an often frivolous industry. Each timeless, hand-knit piece is inspired by her nomadic lifestyle and aims to transport the wearer to a place of comfort, ease, and elegance.
